The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation was founded in 2014 by New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist and his wife Therese to make a difference in the lives of children and their families throughout the world, in the areas of health and education. The Young Ambassadors program was developed because HLF believes in the incredible power of young people to make a difference in the world and we want to give them a platform to do just that!
HLFYAs serve one academic year, from September–May. During that year, HLFYAs are expected to:
Complete a minimum of 15 hours of community service (signed off on by a supervisor, teacher, coach, parent, etc.);
Complete 1 independent service project in support of HLF’s mission; and
Attend at least 1 HLF-hosted event and/or service project (these projects are hosted in New York City, at various locations and times throughout the year).
Henrik Lundqvist Foundation, Inc. (HLF) is a New York not-for-profit corporation that has received recognition of federal tax-exempt status as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (FEIN #46-2642529).
