Who Inspires Me: My Sister

“For my project, I worked on a  clothing and monetary donation drive for Lighthouse Mission, a local mobile food pantry. Lighthouse Mission goes to various locations all throughout Suffolk County on Long Island and hands out food and clothing to people in need. With the help of Teachers Federal Credit Union, I was able to set up raffles and clothing drives at all of the branches. I received many donations from friends, family, and neighbors too! I was able to raise $1,500 as well as collect numerous bags of clothing. The feeling of helping others is definitely the best feeling in the world. I’m so thankful to everyone who helped me raise funds and donated clothing! I can’t wait to do more projects in the future.”
